Warning:
The mixing process involves boiling water. This process should
not be done by any person under the age of 16, unless supervised by an adult.
- Slide the two mold plates securely into the slot in the base. For molds
with two bait shapes, place the shape that you want to make in the direction
away from the base.
- Slide mixing chamber over the mold plates.
- Insert two plastic screws through the holes in the mold plates. Tighten
the two plastic wing nuts (by hand only, no tools required).
- Place assembly on a counter top or other flat surface, with the mold
plates parallel to the counter top and the mixing chamber pointing up.
- Measure the appropriate amount of bait mix (see chart) and pour into the
mixing chamber.
- Repeat step 5 for color additive, glitter additive (optional), and scent
booster (optional).
- Using a plastic fork or similar utensil, stir this dry mixture and
spread the mixture evenly across the mixing chamber.
- Bring the appropriate amount of water (see chart) to a boil.
- Carefully add near boiling water to the mixing chamber.
- Immediately and thoroughly stir water and dry mixture with a plastic
fork or other similar utensil.
- Carefully turn the assembly upright, so the base is flat against the
counter top and the mold plates are perpendicular to the counter top. This
will allow the bait mix to flow into the mold cavities. To aid in this
process, run a plastic fork back and forth at the mold cavity openings.
- If the mold cavities are not completely filled after one minute, insert
the pusher device into the mixing chamber and use a slow, gentle push to
complete the fill.
- Place the whole assembly in the refrigerator for approximately one hour.
- Remove assembly from refrigerator and disassemble.
- Separate mold cavities and remove bait.
- Remove any excess cured bait mix by simply peeling it from the mold
plates (same process works to clean the mixing chamber, etc.).
- Store finished bait in a plastic bag to keep it from drying out. For
best results, don't leave bait in direct sunlight. Bait stored in the
refrigerator will last the longest.

General Notes
- IMPORTANT! Performance of bait mix is dependent on moisture content. For
best results, minimize the time that the bait mix is "open" and place the
cap on securely when not in use.
- 1/16 tsp. of color provides a base amount. Add more for a deeper color.
For the nightcrawler shape, if the scent booster is added, a natural
nightcrawler color will be attained without the use of any color additive.
- Glitter additive is optional. 1/16 tsp. provides a base amount of
glitter. Add more for a higher density of glitter.
- Scent booster is optional. When scent booster is used, resulting colors
tend to be less vivid.
